There’s something extra special about April and Jimmy’s wedding day. It truly felt full-circle from start to finish. These two actually met at a wedding a few years back, when they were both in the bridal party for mutual friends. What started as a fun “wedding weekend” connection quickly grew into something bigger, and before long, they were traveling together, spending time at the beach house with family, going to sports games and concerts, and building a life side by side.
It’s clear that April and Jimmy are each other’s best friend. They have a relationship built on equal parts fun and support, the kind where you can lean on each other when life gets heavy and still find a way to make the everyday moments feel like something worth celebrating.
Their Wedding Day at The Villa
Their wedding day at The Villa was the perfect reflection of who they are; bright, colorful, and completely centered around the people they love. With their closest family and friends by their side (including an incredible 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen!), they said “I do” surrounded by the most joyful energy.
The dance floor was packed all night long, which should come as no surprise. Music is a BIG part of their life together, so they made sure the vibe of the night reflected that. Between their choreographed dances, perfectly chosen playlists, and just how much fun everyone was having, it felt like a celebration that could have gone on forever (Shoutout to DJ AJ Rose keeping even us photographers on the dance floor well past our coverage time… we just couldn’t help ourselves from busting a move or two).
A Personal Connection
On a personal note, this day felt so special to me, too. I first met April through adult dance classes at Motion the Dance Studio, and I still remember the night she told Derek (@toon_tv) and me about a date she had just gone on with Jimmy. Even then, you could tell it was different. Fast forward to now… Derek filming their wedding while I photographed it. It truly felt like everything had come full circle!
